The Writer's Desk An often filled and perpetually emptied coffee cup stands, a mountain standing on a saucer on the only clean spot on the desk, looming over the layers of paper, some lost, others forgotten, a tower over a landscape of memory. This is the writer’s desk. Located in the bedroom of a small apartment, amid clothes on the floor, pushed apart to make a narrow path from the bed to the door and the door to the desk, here art is born, and here, inspiration meets its match.
